Main Responsibilities: Dadaab Main Office and Residences
- Maintain all WFP network/server hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, servers and access points located in the office and residence compounds;
- Monitor network performance and security, troubleshoot issues and escalate issues;
- Backup data contained on local servers.
- Maintain and troubleshoot PABX and desk phones;
- Monitor ISP and VSAT performance, escalate/raise tickets with Service Providers and troubleshoot issues;
- Refuel and switch over generators (daily, main office compound only) and check UPS performance;
- Plan and schedule generator, UPS and mast maintenance;
- Provide end-user services as described in the WFP Kenya Country Office End-User Service Catalogue (example: configuration of laptops, installation of software upgrades, mobile phones, helpdesk (troubleshooting) etc.);
- Troubleshoot VHF (Handheld/Vehicle)/HF (Vehicle only) issues and escalate where appropriate;
- Maintain incident management tickets (using VFire software)
- Engage with ICT counterparts in UN agencies/NGO’s located in Dadaab;
- Provide monthly ICT reports to the Head of Business Transformation and reports to Head of Sub-Office/other units (as requested);
- Implement IT projects (or parts of) for the sub-office;
- Attend meetings (as required) either within sub-office or externally.
Main Responsibilities: Dadaab Camps (IFO-N, Hagadera, Dagahaley)
- Site support for Biometrics and food distributions by ensuring radio links, switches, access points and equipment are operational and maintained in good working condition;
- Site support WFP staff located in camp offices by ensuring power and connectivity are available;
- Scheduling maintenance for camp generators;
- Attend meetings as required to provide technical support advice for operations.
