Responsibilities:
- Develops and executes a comprehensive internal communications strategy
- Oversee the communications narrative and message framework for the Abt Executive ensuring cascading of communication to appropriate audiences across the company and ensuring vision and business strategy awareness across the organisation
- Produce accurate, timely and engaging communications content to support a range of internal and client requirements across multimedia channels, including online, print and promotional collateral
- Manage all internal communications channels and act as a point of contact
- Copyedit, proofread, and revise communications as required
- Communications support for Abt Australia programs and change management initiatives.
- Work with Exec team on supporting Town Halls, all staff updates, TL meetings and other events as required
- Manage communications metrics and measurement processes to allow continual improvement and determine ongoing actions to ensure continued, sustainable results.
- Fully engage with OGA (One Global Abt) Strategic Communications team to improve processes, align OGA (One Global Abt) communications, and promote Abt brand and values to audiences. Participate in meetings and take on special projects as assigned.
- Identify appropriate opportunities to share information, stories, updates
- Act as a contact for all Internet and Intranet communications
Position Requirements:
- BA in journalism or equivalent, communications, marketing, public relations, English or related arts field
- 3-5 years’ experience as a communications professional.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in developing narratives, leadership communications, and communications strategies
- Experience partnering senior leadership on communication matters.
- Experience managing internal communications and change
- Excellent communicator – communicates effectively through written and oral communications and has exceptional skills in helping leaders and organisations define and develop messages that are clear, concise, creative and persuasive
- Stakeholder engagement and management – ability to manage multiple, diverse stakeholders in a matrixed environment
- Change management experience
- Ability to influence – leads and communicates effectively in complex, competitive and political environments and delivers results
- Business acumen – develops a deep understanding of the company’s business strategies, industry dynamics and the portfolio of our work
- Problem solving/critical thinking – approaches challenges and problems in a rational, thoughtful manner that assures understanding and effective resolution
- Emotional intelligence – builds strong relationships and motivates others to excel; personal courage and resilience to deal with a wide range of challenges
