- Build and maintain a thorough understanding of the HIV/AIDS landscape, health systems, priorities, and gaps both in Zambia and globally in order to identify strategic opportunities for program growth to achieve CHAI's overall objectives
- Accelerate the introduction and uptake of optimal ARVs for both pediatric and adult patients
- Support the country in assessing opportunities for optimization of national treatment guidelines and roll out of new formulations and develop interventions to overcome identified bottlenecks
- Provide technical assistance to service delivery points through the Ministry of Health to identify and overcome barriers to access high quality, low cost ARVs and other essential medicines
- Provide support to Medical Stores Limited and other key partners in the implementation of the National Supply Chain Strategy
- Represent CHAI in Supply Chain, Pediatric and Adult TWGs at MOH and other relevant external parties’ meetings
- Ensure liaison with global teams, particularly HAP In order to align the local strategy with the global strategy
- Consolidate, manage, and communicate key information about the Zambia HIV Access Program to management to facilitate the ongoing success of the program. Activities should include but not be limited to:
- Participation and advocacy in quarterly and annual forecasting & quantification meetings
- Execute day-to-day transactional support activities including but not limited to core budgeting, and performance target-setting to enhance access to essential medicines
- Manage effective communication both internal and external, while maintaining an up-to-date overview of the Zambia Access Program to share with donors, management, and staff.
- Meet all internal reporting requirements
- Support to other Access team members to ensure that over time, the objectives and deliverables of CHAI Zambia Access Programs are met
