Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Chief of the Partnerships Unit, News and Media Division, Department of Public Information, the incumbent: 

•Identifies broadcasters potentially interested in using NMD products and services and, in consultation with the Unit Chief, initiates contact to establish broadcasting partnerships; 
•Contacts existing media outlet clients regularly to maintain partnership relations; 
•Responds to ad hoc requests for NMD products and services;
•Researches media trends and opportunities for long-term strategic partnerships to enlarge the clientele for NMD products and services;
•Identifies opportunities for the promotion of UN media products and services, and assist in preparing for participation, including in conferences, markets, competitions and festivals; 
•Proposes cost- and time-effective methods of promoting and distributing NMD products and services;
•Researches and compiles information for the preparation of promotional materials and other marketing items; 
•Provides the unit with basic administrative support by responding to information requests and inquiries, reserving meeting rooms, providing basic orientation to new staff and interns, etc.;
•Assists in preparations for NMD special events;
•Researches and analyses information on assigned topics/issues from diverse sources; 
•Performs other duties as assigned.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience
A minimum of three years of experience in public information, international broadcasting, journalism, public relations, marketing to the broadcast and online media industry or related area is required.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For this post, fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another UN official language is an advantage.
