CARE is seeking a Tipping Point Project Intern (Preventing Child Marriage) who will work on preventing child marriage through adolescent girl empowerment. The intern will be tasked to support some Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning work along with providing operational project support of the Tipping Point Project.
Intern’s supervisor will be in Vienna, but the will be the Tipping Point Program Officer in Atlanta will provide some on-site supervision and guidance.
Learning Objectives: The intern will have an opportunity to understand cutting edge monitoring and evaluation work at CARE and gain skills working with a multi-country team on a project that works on many levels.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning advisor with packaging of Tipping Point Phase I evaluation products, Phase II baseline, and Phase II monitoring system.  Work with deliverables from consultants
  • Draft Tipping Point quarterly update, including collating relevant news, updates, resources etc.
  • Support Tipping Point related events and meetings (e.g. event logistics, note-taking)
  • Knowledge management support including managing Tipping Point webpage and drafting/editing of knowledge products
  • General support for project administration activities  (e.g. procurement)
Primary Skills:
  • Proficient in English (Verbal & Written)
  • Proficient in MS Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Masters in international development, public health or business administration
  • Excellent research and writing skills
  • Excellent critical thinking skills
