The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people. NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, education, emergency food security, legal assistance, and water,sanitation and hygiene sectors. 

The Norwegian Refugee Council has approximately 5000 committed and competent employees involved in projects across four continents. In addition, NRC runs one of the world’s largest standby rosters -NORCAP, with 650 professionals, ready to be deployed on 72 hours notice when a crisis occurs 
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The objective for the Reporting System Adviser/Coordinator position is to support the development and use of NRC’s Global Output and Outcome Reporting System. The system manages reporting on Core Performance Indicators across all of NRC’s approximately 30 countries of operation and is based on the web-based open-source information system, DHIS2.
The Adviser/Coordinator will provide technical IT support, support to users and contribute to the development and improvement of the platform.

DELIVERABLES
Position responsibilities include:
  1. Maintain and update system configuration, such as user rights, organization units and indicators
  2. Maintain global indicators and support in adding local and regional indicators
  3. Update and assist in creating business intelligence visualisations (dashboards)
  4. Assist in data analysis, visualisation and use
  5.  Develop materials to support GORS users (admin and end users)
  6. Maintain help desk
  7. Assist in the development and management of new web applications

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Advanced computer literacy
  • Strong data analysis skills
  • Capacity to manage complex systems
  • Understanding of the use of Key Performance Indicators
          Advantage:
  • Experience with DHIS2
  • Experience interacting with REST API
