The European Investment Fund (EIF) is seeking to recruit for its Strategic Planning and Analysis (SP&A) Division, at its headquarters in Luxembourg:
(Junior) Deal Allocation Officer(s)
Strategic Planning and Analysis / Business Planning Unit
This is a generic campaign in anticipation of current and possible future vacancies
Appointment will be made on the basis of a fixed term contract of three (3) years.
Purpose:
The (Junior) Deal Allocation Officer contributes to deal allocation process in relation to the Equity activity only. S/he is ultimately in charge of the efficient deployment of resources under management taking into account each mandate’s specificities and investment strategy.
Operating Network:
The incumbent reports to the Head of Business Planning, who in turn reports to the Head of the Strategic Planning and Analysis Division. S/he will work in close cooperation with other relevant EIF services.
Responsibilities:
At a level commensurate with the incumbent’s professional experience, s/he will:
Equity activity
- Participate to regular internal committees in order to supervise the signature process: Equity pipeline meetings, Mandates’ meetings, etc;
- Ensure the preparation of a Portfolio Model for each mandate;
- Organise the periodic review of portfolio models versus actual deal allocation and, where necessary, provide stakeholders with recommendations;
- Support in the development of internal reporting / dashboarding environment focusing on deal allocation achievements & requirements;
- Monitor projects in own domain, being deal allocation and actively participate to all related enhancements.
Analytics & Methodologies
- Contribute to the elaboration of a set of best practices, guidelines, policies and methodologies in relation to the deal allocation framework;
- Contribute to the evolution of in-house developed models;
- Modernise and, where possible, automate existing tools, database, business rules;
- Participate to the COP exercise led by SP&A;
- Proactively manage the flow of information to stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- University qualification, preferably at post-graduate level, in Business Administration, Finance;
- At least three (3) years’ relevant professional experience preferably in pipeline management or portfolio management;
- Good command of IT applications and in particular Microsoft Office; knowledge of reporting tool(s) such as Tableau and/or Business Objects would be an advantage;
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Knowledge of other EU languages would be an asset.
