About the GSMA
The GSMA represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide, uniting nearly 800 operators with more than 300 companies in the broader mobile ecosystem. Our mission is to further the strategic, commercial, technological, developing world and advocacy interests of our members. The GSMA produces industry-leading events such as Mobile World Congress, Mobile World Congress Shanghai, Mobile World Congress Americas and the Mobile 360 Series conferences.

The GSMA Operations department is responsible for the operational delivery of all event and exhibition components of the three Mobile World Congress events plus the Mobile 360 event series. Our events range from 150 attendees at our m360 event in Brussels to the 108,000 attendees at our flagship MWC event in Barcelona.
We work and collaborate with leading industry vendors around the globe to deliver innovative and creative solutions that make a real difference to our attendees. We provide platforms that enable our members (telecom operators) and other players in the mobile ecosystem to meet face to face and conduct business.
With just under 20 permanent team members spread across our offices in Europe, Atlanta, Hong Kong and Shanghai, the Exhibitions Operations team has responsibility to manage and deliver the exhibition and exhibition related components of Mobile World Congress as well as many other projects. We are a close-knit team who thrive on the challenges we face to continue to innovate and deliver best in class products and services. About the Role
GSMA Ltd (GSMA) seeks an intelligent and energetic Project Manager who will report to the Senior Project Manager, Exhibitions.
The main purpose of the role is to manage, plan and execute GSMA’s exhibition. Along with, incorporating project management, operational planning, logistics and liaison with internal and external departments.
This role is specifically designed to manage and deliver the event and exhibition related components of Mobile World Congress 2019.
About You
You will have substantial experience in an operations role within a commercial environment (industry experience beneficial) and be able to demonstrate strong project and cost management skills with the ability to plan a number of activities simultaneously.
You will work in-line with the processes and procedures set by GSMA for all events globally, manage and implement the standard GSMA policies, rules and regulations.
We work in a fast-paced environment, it is important that you are able to demonstrate your ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines. You will also demonstrate the ability to be flexible and take on and extra responsibility and assist team members in projects when required.
You will exhibit great communication skills, tailor forms of communication to different audiences, be flexible in your approach by adapting to the different ways in which teams work and show an awareness of cultural differences. Attention to detail is very important.
You will have strong interpersonal skills, professional, service-oriented, confident and personable. Fluency in English is necessary. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
