Duties and Responsibilties
  1. Implement and perform the  technical duties related to the facility management and day to day operation  of the Equipment Storage and Maintenance Facility (ESMF) – this includes monitoring requirements and assisting in the planning and execution of ESMF related budget and procurement plans as well as record all of these duties and related logistics support services in the ESMF Management System;
  2. Prepare and implement maintenance plans and schedules for ESMF infrastructure and operations  support equipment to ensure that they are continuously maintained at the highest standard and available for use without delay;
  3. Control and record the receipt, storage and loan of equipment and prepare equipment deployment and transportation according to requirements including at short notice – this includes organising the packaging, handling and preparation of equipment (including goods/materials classified as dangerous goods by ICAO and IATA) and keeping all related information including country specific documentation;
  4. Monitor and assist in the management of consumables and stocks in support of the operation of the ESMF and of the programmes of the CTBTO Technical Divisions as required;
  5. Assist CTBTO staff responsible for asset management with tracking financial information and status changes and update goods management databases accordingly;
  6. Support coordination and implementation of activities by CTBTO Technical Divisions at the ESMF as required and assist in the planning and execution of storage, maintenance, calibration, servicing and testing of their equipment at the ESMF as directed by and in consultation with responsible equipment officers and technicians in accordance with CTBTO procedures;
  7. Support the development and implementation of OSI operations support modules to ensure rapid deployment of OSI equipment in various environmental conditions;
  8. Provide up to date information on the preparedness status of OSI equipment for deployment and assist in the mobilization planning and execution process for activities of the OSI Division;
  9. Participate in training, tests and exercises organized by the CTBTO Technical Divisions both at Headquarters or in the field which could be in remote areas, at short notice, and, if necessary, for lengthy periods;
  10. Perform other duties as assigned.
