For the past 20 years Egis, a key engineering group in France, has continued its support to the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine, the State Road Agency of Ukraine (Ukravtodor) as well as other executive bodies.
Now Egis Ukraina has more than 80 employees working on a full-time and part-time schedules. Its central office is located in Kyiv and project offices are hosted in Kharkiv, Poltava, Ternopil and Lviv.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the overall supervision of the Project’s Team Leader, and direct supervision of the Senior Communication Expert, the Media and Communications Officer will be responsible for the following activities:
  • Provide support for effective implementation of communication and visibility activities due to promote road safety in Ukraine;
  • Assist the Senior Communication Expert in developing user friendly and high-quality information, education and communication (IEC) material (collaterals for outreach publications- brochures, flyers, etc);
  • Help to organise and execute visibility events (e.g press conferences/briefings) including handling media relations (printed, online, television and radio);
  • Supervise the production process of the communication and publications products/items by closely liaising with service vendors (printing companies, production house etc) to ensure high quality of final products;
  • Monitor mass media on the project and its implementation process;
  • Manage the project’s key social media platforms regularly through social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram and Youtube;
  • Prepare agendas and other communication related material for the meetings, events, and functions;
  • Evaluation of the impact of the communication campaigns and awareness activities to identify lessons learned and form recommendations for future campaigns;
  • Any other duties, as assigned by the Senior Communication Expert.
Essential Experience:
  • At least 5 years work experience in the field of Public Relations, Media or Communications.
  • Knowledge and experience in road safety / automotive industry communication, is considered an advantage.
  • Prior experience in working with EU programms / UN organizations in Ukraine, is considered an advantage.
Qualifications and Technical Skill:
  • Ability to draft clearly and concisely, ideas and concepts in written and oral form, specific skill in writing press releases and articles, stories for print and electronic media;
  • Exceptional English and Ukrainian communication skills, both written and verbal. In particular, strong-copy writing for brochures, websites, social media as well as creating project/program report, would be considered an advantage;
  • Experience in event management/coordination.
The applicant should be a graduate in Mass communication / Journalism / Public relation from a well-known institution / university.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work on own initiative to build on and develop the job combined with the ability to work effectively as part of a team;
  • Good programme management skills, highly organized with good attention to detail and developed ability to prioritise multiple tasks to meet tight deadlines and organise works;
  • Proven ability to work and establish good working relationships with government, non- government representatives, and transport related sector;
  • Creative and innovative in implementing communication activities and ability to work both as a member of a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to pursue innovations in communications.

Duration: Consultancy assignment/contract for a 6-month duration (including one month of probation), with possible extension depending on the good performance of the incumbent, with concentration on period July-October.
