- Coordinate and manage the communication function for the SDG Lab
- Assist with the process of audience mapping with the SDG Lab team
- Participate in the development of a Brand book, including a mission, vision and manifesto (purpose statement), and a brand structure (a set of guidelines for how the different elements of SDG Lab’s visual elements should be displayed in different contexts and communications products)
- Coordinate the development of an outreach strategy that determines which tools and platforms are the most effective for each audience group and develop a plan with targets for how each one should be reached.
- Write a number of pre-produced messages (headlines and blurbs) about the SDG Lab’s work that can be utilized in various content channels.
- Direct SDG Lab staff and interns on content creation for the strategy.
- Coordinate the development of a social media strategy which outlines the main existing conversations SDG Lab should participate in, which organizations it should follow; a calendar for social media postings; a list of key messages that should be pushed, and other items as required
- Work with interns and staff to determine their participation.
- Coordinate the work of creative designers and production professionals to develop collateral for the SDG Lab including videos, still images, infographics, and twitter card templates.
- Develop a template for a newsletter and plan for gathering content and publishing it at regular intervals.
- Develop a stakeholder survey and outline of necessary data analytics.
- Develop a plan for future expansion into new and creative communications channels (blogging, op-eds, podcasts, etc.) once core communication processes are in place.
