Responsibilities
Under the overall guidance of the Chief of OCS and within delegated authority, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
1.Assists the Chief of OCS to review OICT contracts with vendors and coordinate with the Procurement Division on extension of contracts with vendors whose services need to be extended;
2.Take inventory of existing contracts, analyze sources of funding for established contracts and develop a requisitioning schedule and plan for the 2018-2019 biennium, evaluate resource
requirements;
3.Assists the Section Chief in capacity of a requisitioner in developing requirements, statement of work for areas which require new procurement actions and solicitation and consults with the Procurement Division in developing a procurement strategy;
4.Develops presentations for HCC in coordination with Procurement Officers;
5.Assists the Section Chief in project formulation, implementation and modification of project strategies and work plan in the areas which require coordination with other departments;
6.Coordinates with Procurement Division on all contract management matters and designs innovative solutions to resolve any vendor related issues, consults OLA, as required;
7.Assists the Chief of Section in establishing and maintaining work program and schedule for ongoing contracts and newly-planned ones;
8.Contributes to development of the 2018-2019 OICT programme budget proposal;
9.Oversees contract management activities and ensures adherence to and compliance with contractual agreements of the United Nations;
10.Organizes events that will allow project managers from different Services and Secretariat ICT units to meet and network.
