The Estates department have a new opportunity for a Maintenance Technician to join their team.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced individual to join the Estates Department expanding team.  You will be providing a quality technical provision to our Property Management Service. This role would suit a person looking to join an Internationally renowned organisation, you will be technically able and organised with a desire for getting the job done.  We have a planned maintenance programme with an emphasis on mechanical systems; plant and equipment working with in house and external experts.  It is a necessity that you can read and interpret engineering drawings and use this information to trace faults on equipment. 
Acting as first responder to any mechanical/gas faults, you will issue the work where necessary, and monitor the quality of services of specialist contractors, ensuring the work is carried out safely and in line with the scope of works.   
You will demonstrate the appropriate behaviours and commitment towards health and safety to ensure we achieve our health and safety policy, and will undertake risk assessments and ensure that any identified risk is addressed. 
The ideal candidate will be educated to OND/ONC (Mechanical) or equivalent in a relevant discipline (i.e. time served).  With previous knowledge or practical experience of Water Supply (Water fittings) regulations 1999 and Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, you will have attended training in Asbestos and Legionella awareness.  You must be physically fit to undertake regular and significant physical activity; Manual Handling training is crucial and will be provided. You must possess a full, clean driving licenceand be available for out of hours call-out if required.
