Responsibilities
Within delegated authority, the Human Resources Assistant will be responsible for the following duties: 

RECRUITMENT AND PLACEMENT:
•Researches and provides accurate information to Human Resources Officers and Senior Managers on human resources/staffing issues.
•Oversees and provides expert advice to missions and service centres in exercising delegated authorities and responsibilities in the recruitment and placement of staff.
•Drafts correspondence on the full range of staffing related issues.

ADMINISTRATION OF ENTITLEMENTS:
•Reviews and advises on requests pertaining to entitlements and claims.
•Reviews and seeks support from OHRM on exceptions to policies, regulations and rules.
•Monitors issues and data pertaining to conditions of service. 

CLASSIFICATION:
•Assists in reviewing and processing requests for classification.
•Provides advice and answers general queries on classification procedures and processes. 

GENERAL:
•Provides general office support services; drafts and/or processes a variety of correspondence and other communications.
•Conducts research on precedents, policy rulings and procedures.
•Sets up and maintains reference files/records (electronic and paper).
•Undertakes research on a range of HR related issues and assists in the preparation of notes/reports. 
•Prepares special reports based on monitoring of strategic and operational HR indicators and participates in special human resources related projects.
•Assists in the preparation of necessary documentation for distribution to various offices, departments and overseas offices.
•Performs a variety of administrative duties (e.g. leave recording, request for office supplies and equipment, etc.).
•Maintains automated database containing HR related statistics and prepares periodic reports.
•Performs other duties as required.
