Responsibilities
Within limits of delegated authority, the Programme Assistant may be responsible for the following duties: Provide administrative support to the Early Warning and Humanitarian Action team members, including activities such as visa requests, laissez-passers etc. - S/he will draft routine correspondence in English and French, create and maintain the team’s filing and reference systems in conformity with the criteria applicable under various procedures. - S/he will draft correspondence, meeting notes and update periodic reports, briefing notes, graphical and statistical summaries, etc. S/he will support the organization of meetings and workshops. - S/he will maintain, update and manage mailing lists of partner agencies and assist with the dissemination of communication/ information as assigned. - S/he will perform other administrative tasks as assigned, including replacing the other Programme Assistants during their absence.

Education
High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Experience
At least 5 years of progressively responsible experience, in programme/project operations and/or administration, personnel, technical cooperation, or equivalent is required. 2 years of UN experience is desirable. Umoja/ERP experience is an asset.
Languages
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of French is an asset.
